We’re here to help kids

The Muckenthaler Cultural Center Foundation (Tax I.D. #95-6136238 501(c) 3 is dedicated to supporting Arts and Culture for Children.

The Muckenthaler Motor Car Festival is the premier annual fundraiser for the Muckenthaler Cultural Center Foundation. The Muckenthaler services over 45,000 patrons each year including 13,000 students in 11 cities at shelters, hospitals, schools, foster care and prisons. The money raised at the car show will aid in the mission to bring the arts into every nook and cranny of the region. The Muck brings arts where no one else does. Working with a refugee school for UN unaccompanied minors of foreign wars, we help them learn English through the arts. We work with kids in battered women’s shelters, homeless and “hotel” kids. We also work with children saved from human trafficking.

Last year we started the first STEAM program in North Orange County, partnering with Chuck Jones Studios in Costa Mesa run by the grandson of the creator of our favorite Looney Tunes characters. We teach 8th grade physics through animation. In 2014 we started a 6th grade program teaching 6th graders Plate tectonics through ancient storytelling. We started a literary program teaching English through graphic novels and comics. The Muck is at the forefront of innovation which is why we won the county board of education’s highest award last year- Educator of the Year.

The Muckenthaler Motor Car Festival is proud to be the #1 fund raiser in support of these programs.
